Associate professor of Electrical Engineering at the Department of Management and Engineering of the Università degli studi di Padova, he teaches courses of electric engineering (since 2016) and industrial plasma technology. He carries out his research activity in the field of nuclear fusion, mostly focusing on the development of high-power particles beams for additional heating of fusion plasmas.

Education
He graduated in Aerospace engineering in 2009, with a thesis on numerical simulation of RF plasma windtunnel at the Von Karman Institute, and obtained the International doctorate in Fusion Science and Engineering at the University of Padova and Universidade Técnica de Lisboa.

Scientific Activity
He was granted the two-years "Eurofusion research fellowship" in 2015. His research in the field of nuclear fusion was carried out mostly on neutral beam injectors, especially at the ITER Neutral Beam Test Facility at Consorzio RFX, and was characterised by international collaborations with foreign research institutes including NIFS and QST (Japan), IPP and KIT (Germany).
He supervised and co-supervised 30 bachelor and master degree theses, and five doctorate students. He is now coordinator of the PhD on "Fusion science and Engineering" at university of Padova. He is author of more than 160 publications with more than 2000 citations.
