Enrico Sandrin is an Assistant Professor in the Department of Management and Engineering, University of Padova, Italy. Formerly, he worked as a knowledge engineer for product configuration, as a buyer, and as a controller in a firm operating in the machinery industry, where he also contributed to many business transformation projects sometimes collaborating with leading consulting companies. His research activity revolves around the study of product variety and customization management, product configuration, organization design, and human resource management for mass customization. He has presented the results of his research at numerous international conferences, and his research has been recognized with two awards: the Harry Boer Highly Commended Award at the EurOMA conference in 2016 and the Best Paper Award at the International Workshop on Configuration (ConfWS 2023). His research has also been published in international journals such as the International Journal of Operations & Production Management, the Journal of Manufacturing Systems, the International Journal of Production Economics, Computers in Industry, Industrial Management & Data Systems, the Journal of Systems & Software, and the International Journal of Industrial Engineering and Management.
