Research Area
Research Lines.
The current research lines primarily focus on clinical-dynamic psychology, delineated in the following domains:
(A) Feeding and Eating disorders – eating disorders – dysfunctional eating behaviors – obesity. Particularly, considerable emphasis is placed on emerging constructs such as food addiction, eating compulsivity, grazing, orthorexia nervosa, drunkorexia, etc.
(B) Psycho-oncology and health psychology. Specifically, exploring the role of emotional, mental, and physical states, distress, and the quality of life in patients affected by oncological/organic diseases.
(C) Traumatic experiences, post-traumatic stress symptoms, and (dis-)regulation of emotions.
(D) Problematic use of technology, social networks, and digital well-being
