Faustino Rizzo is currently a post-doctoral researcher at the Department of Philosophy, Sociology, Pedagogy, and Applied Psychology (FISPPA) at the University of Padua, where he is involved in a research project focused on promoting positive parenting and preventing the removal of children from their families in the Piedmont region.

After obtaining a Master's degree in Philosophical Sciences from the University of Bologna, Dr. Rizzo pursued a Ph.D. in "Reggio Childhood Studies" at the University of Modena and Reggio Emilia. His doctoral thesis explored protective measures for children living in contexts marked by the presence of organized crime. This research allowed him to specialize in the field of pedagogy, examining how this discipline can contribute to the promotion and protection of children's rights in high-risk social situations.

Dr. Rizzo's research is characterized by an interdisciplinary approach that combines pedagogical theory with social policy analysis. As a member of the Research and Intervention Laboratory on Family Education (LabRIEF), he is currently involved in nationally significant projects. A key aspect of his work is his participation in the scientific group of the Program for Intervention to Prevent Institutionalization (P.I.P.P.I.), an initiative aimed at supporting vulnerable families and preventing the removal of children from their family environment.

Dr. Rizzo’s research interests include family education, family and social vulnerability, and policies for the promotion, prevention, and protection of children's rights.
