Research Area

a) Integration between psychodynamic assumptions and neurosciences acquisitions: she has contributed with theoretical and empirical works to building a bridge between psychodynamic assumptions and neurosciences. For instance, her research activity is focused in investigating somatic underpinnings of intersubjectivity and attunement in interacting adult dyads. The specific topic of affective empathy and negative emotions processing is faced examining neurological diseases model as well.

b) Research in psychotherapy and psychological intervention (including non-conventional techniques, e.g. hypnosis and mindfulness): her research activity has been dedicated to study pivotal processes happening during psychotherapy (e.g. empathic attunement, therapeutic alliance) also in a psychophysiological perspective. She also dedicated to operazionalize hermeneutic single-case efficacy design and participated validate new forms of psychological intervention on neurological diseases and terminal illnesses, both in quantitive and in qualitative perspective analyses.
