Giancarlo Ottaviano is medical doctor, Associate Professor at the Department of Neurosciences, Section of Otolaryngology, University of Padova.
He is member of the Editorial Board of Rhinology, Rhinology online, Editor of Frontiers in Allergy, of the International Scholarly Research Network Otolaryngology. He is member of the Italian Society of Otolaryngology and Cranio-facial Surgery and of the European Rhinologic Society (ERS). He is also reviewer for international scientific peer-review journals.
Doctor in Medicine and Surgery, cum laude in 2001, he graduated in Otolaryngology, cum laude, in 2005 at Padua University. He has been Affiliate Academic at the Professorial Unit of the Royal National Throat Nose and Ear Hospital in London and Clinical Fellow at the Department of Otolaryngology, University of Dresden.
He has more than 108 international peer-review publications in the Otolaryngology field. He is also author of medical book chapters on nose and paranasal physiology and pathology. He has been faculty member in many international meetings. Principal investigator of international clinical trials, he has been awarded with national and international prizes. He is teacher at the University of Padova and had performed more than 2000 surgical head and neck procedures as 1th surgeon.
