I am an associate professor at the Department of Developmental and Social Psychology (DPSS) at the University of Padua. I obtained my Ph.D. at the Department of Basic Psychology at the University of Barcelona (Spain). I benefited from a post-doctoral scholarship received from the Catalan Government, at the Center for Mind and Brain Research (CIMeC) at the University of Trento, and from various research grants at the DPSS of the University of Padua.

My main research interest can be summarized in the study of the ability to efficiently and quickly communicate one's communicative intentions to possible interlocutors, an element that represents one of the most surprising abilities of the human species. This line of research on linguistic production is carried out with languages of different modalities, such as spoken languages and sign languages, and in monolingual and bilingual individuals. Furthermore, I am interested in the influence of language on other cognitive abilities such as decision-making processes, judgment, and perception.

I am the author of over 56 scientific articles published in international peer-reviewed journals. I have the following bibliometric parameters: SOCPUS (h-index = 18; 1227 total citations), Google Scholar (i10-index = 32; 2066 total citations).
