Member of the GAPS Science Team and the PLATO consortium.
Main Research Interests:
-- Exoplanets and Variable Stars:
- Extraction, correction, and analysis of stellar light curves (mainly young stars) from ground- and space-based telescopes (especially TESS and Kepler)
- Detection of planetary transits and characterization of stellar variability
- Modeling of transits and radial velocities for the characterization of exoplanets
- Analysis of variable stars based on their periods, colors, and luminosities
- Search for terrestrial planets in the context of the ESA/PLATO space mission
- Astrometry of giant planets
-- Stellar Populations in Open and Globular Clusters:
- High-precision photometry (UV/optical/IR bands) and astrometry from space-based (HST and JWST) and ground-based imaging
- Analysis of the properties of stellar populations in open and globular clusters and stellar associations
- Study of low main-sequence stars and brown dwarfs in star clusters
