PhD, Full Professor of General and Social Pedagogy in the FiSPPA Dept. Director of the Interdep. Centre for Ped. and Psych. Childhood from 2018 to 2021, transferred to the University Centre for Human Rights, of which she is a member of macro-area 3 in the Governing Council for the three-year period 2022-2025. Member of the Dip. Board since 2019. Deputy Director of the FiSPPA Dept. since October 2022.
Visiting professor in various EU universities, USA, Canada, Australia, New Zealand. Responsible for 2 European Erasmus+ projects in 2017-2021.
Member of the scientific committee of several scientific journals and pedagogical societies. Appointed expert member of the Minister of the National Observatory for Children and Adolescents from 2015 to 2022 and of the French Minister of the Family from 2019 to 2021.
In 2009 she founded LabRIEF, which promotes research and training projects in the field of parenting support, design and evaluation of programmes with children and families in vulnerable situations: https://labrief.fisppa.it
Project manager for the drafting of the Guidelines for Family Fostering of the Veneto Region (2008), the National Guidelines on Family Fostering (2012 and 2024).C urrently national scientific manager of P.I.P.I., Programma di Intervento Per Prevenire l'Istituzionalizzazione (Programme of Intervention to Prevent Institutionalisation), financed by the Ministry of Labour and Social Policies for the years 2011-2026, the largest programme so far promoted in social policies in Italy, which won the 2019 National Public Administration Award, the European Social Award in 2019, from 2022 financed in the PNRR with 84mln€ as it is recognised as an Essential Level of Social Protection by the Budget Law 2021: https://pippi.unipd.it
Following the activation of the Reddito di Cittadinanza policy, in which the P.I.P.P.I. methodology is indicated as the basis for building the evaluation of the intervention with families, the MLPS and the FiSPPA signed an Agreement for the four-year period 2018-2022 aimed at training 2400 case managers and carrying out a research action with families in poverty.
The coordination of a working group engaged in the construction of public policies attracted the interest of an audience of researchers, which led to the development of research partnerships such as: the invitation as visiting scientist at the Université de Franche-Comté in a.a. '20-'21, appointment as invited professor at the University of Fribourg for the years 2011-2018, appointment as scientific advisor of SUPSI in the years 2012-2021, as advisor of the Swiss UNESCO Commission for Education in the two-year period 2017-2019, appointment as Italian representative in COSTaction 18123, EuroFam-Net of the European Commission from 2019 to 2024, appointment as expert from 2021 of the Joint Research Center of the European Commission, ITWIIN Prize for women innovators in 2018 for the category Capacity building: https://www.itwiin.org/it/albo/albo-2018.html, etc.
Author of more than 200 scientific communications at national and international conferences, more than 300 publications including in 2018, Education and Families. Research and new practices for parenting, Carocci, which won the SIPED national prize for the best pedagogical monograph in 2019 and, in 2022, Nelle stanze dei bambini alle nove della sera. Contrasting and preventing social inequalities, Erickson.

For the reception, an appointment in person or via Zoom must be booked by e-mail.

For students requesting theses: assignment normally takes place after attendance of the course.
