Giulia Michieletto (Member, IEEE – RAS, CSS, and IES) received her Laurea Degree (M.Sc.) in Automation Engineering in 2014 and her Ph.D. in Information Engineering in 2018, both from the University of Padua. From March 2016 to February 2017, she was a Visiting Researcher at LAAS-CNRS in Toulouse, France, where she joined the Robotics and Interactions team, focusing on the control of multi-rotor aerial vehicles as part of the EU H2020 AEROARMS project. From February 2018 to October 2019, she was a postdoctoral fellow with the SPARCS (Space Aerial and gRound Control Systems) group at the University of Padua, collaborating with various national and international academic institutions. Since November 2019, Giulia has held a tenure-track assistant professorship at the Department of Management and Engineering, University of Padua. She is a member of the Control Systems Society’s Conference Editorial Board (CEB), the European Control Association, the IFAC Technical Committee on Networked Systems (TC 1.5), and serves as an ambassador for the Women in Engineering program promoted by the IEEE Industrial Electronics Society.
Her research interests include modeling, control, and experimental validation of autonomous ground and aerial vehicles, both as individual units and within cooperative multi-agent systems, with applications spanning transportation, inspection, and industrial manipulation.
