Parastoo Memarian is currently a fixed-term researcher (RTDa) in small animal surgery and orthopedics at the Department of Animal Medicine, Production and Health (MAPS) at the University of Padua, a position she has held since October 2024. At the same university, she obtained her PhD degree in Veterinary Sciences (35th cycle) in 2023. She obtained a DVSc in Veterinary Surgery from Shiraz University in Iran in 2019 and a Doctor of Veterinary Medicine (DVM) degree from the University of Tehran in 2012. She later had her degrees recognized at the University of Padua, where she obtained the Italian veterinary diploma (DVM) in 2023. In the same year, she passed the Italian State Exam for practicing Veterinary Medicine and is registered as a veterinarian in the Veterinary Order of Padua.
Her research focuses on veterinary orthopedics, biomaterials, and tissue engineering, with particular interest in innovative 3D-printed scaffolds and active biomaterials for bone regeneration and orthopedic applications in small animals. She has published scientific contributions in international journals and actively collaborates with the Orthopedics and Traumatology Unit of the University Veterinary Teaching Hospital of Padua.
