HISTORY OF SCREENPLAY (academic year 2024/2025; Master's Degree SPM; 42 hours; 6cfu)

Lessons start on Tuesday, February 25, 2025, Classroom C (Palazzo Maldura/Calfura) at 9:30 am
The last lesson and end of the course (if there are no unforeseen interruptions now) is April 15, 2025

A WRITTEN pre-exam is scheduled with the students attending the course (those who will be present for at least 70% of the lessons = 29 hours, however it is mandatory to be registered in MOODLE - course page) with a date to be set with the same students attending at the end of the course.

Classes will be held in Classroom C every Tuesday and every Wednesday from 9:30 am to 11:45 am. When there are guests, they may also end either at 12:00 pm or at 12:15 pm.

Also in this academic year the course is (like last year) particularly "laboratory" with numerous professional guests who are specialists in the sector. The aim of the course is to explain to the attending students what it means to be a screenwriter today, looking above all at the market and the possible work activities in the multimedia world of audiovisuals. At the beginning of the course the course program will be delivered with the dates on which the guests will be present (the lessons will also be open to an audience other than the attending students).

- The thesis proposals vary from Italian cinema to European, American and Asian cinema and must not necessarily concern themselves with screenwriting and scriptwriters: theses on contemporary authors who have won international festivals in the last months-years are welcome (particularly analysis on authors participants at the Turin Film Festival).
