I am Assistant Professor (RTD-B) at the Department of Political Science, Law and International Studies (SPGI) of the University of Padua. My main research interests are related to parties and party systems in comparative perspective, political elites, and the personalisation of politics. My research has appeared in journals such as West European Politics, Comparative European Politics, Government and Opposition, Acta Politica, Electoral Studies, European Political Science Review, Regional and Federal Studies, Italian Political Science Review/Rivista Italiana di Scienza Politica. My monograph, Party Leaders and their Selection Rules in Western Europe, has been published by Routledge.
