Associate Professor. Ph.D. in Psychological Sciences, specializing in Personality and Social Psychology, awarded by the University of Padua.
Engaged in scientific and teaching activities within the Department of Philosophy, Sociology, Education and Applied Psychology (FISPPA) – Section of Applied Psychology at the University of Padua. Lecturer in the courses "Work and Organizational Psychology" for the First cycle degree courses (Bachelor's Degree Programs) in Social and Work Psychology (School of Psychology, Department FISPPA) and in Environment and Workplace Prevention Techniques (School of Medicine, Department of Cardiac-Thoracic-Vascular Sciences and Public Health).
His main research areas include:
(a) the assessment of work-related stress risk and individual/organizational well-being, also through the integration of multiple measurement methods, including self- and other-reports, objective indicators, and biological markers;
(b) the antecedents and consequences—at both individual and organizational levels—of workaholism and work engagement as two forms of heavy work investment, with a focus, in line with the biopsychosocial model, to the interaction between individual and organizational factors in the development of these phenomena;
(c) the role of individual variables (negative affectivity, perfectionism, narcissism, Psychological Capital) in the development of work-related stress (e.g., exposure and reactivity to stressful situations), individual/organizational well-being, and heavy work investment;
(d) risk and protective factors related to the use of technology (e.g., technostress, Zoom fatigue), also in relation to remote work (e.g., smart working).
Member of research teams operating in the Quality & Marketing and Human Resources Laboratory (from 2009 to 2018) and in the Interdepartmental Research Center on Work-Related Stress – CIRD (since 2013), within the FISPPA Department.
Member of the research groups involved in applied research projects on work-related stress risk assessment (including collaborations with Azienda ULSS6 Euganea, the Municipality of Padua, the University Hospital of Padua AOUP, and the Italian Finance Police – Guardia di Finanza).
Member of the Editing Direction of the journal TPM. Academic Editor of the journal Plos One.
