I received my BSc and MSc degrees in Statistics and Informatics from the Department of Statistics of the University of Padua (Italy). I completed my doctorate at the University of Verona, working on statistical methods for medicine and epidemiology under the supervision of Prof. de Marco Roberto. I improved my statistical skills with a 2-year post-doctorate fellowship at University ca’ Foscari of Venice, with Tutor Prof. Gaetan Carlo, between 2013 and 2015. From 2015 to 2019, I worked as a statistician at the Epidemiological Department of the Veneto Region where I was mainly involved in
occupational and environmental studies.
From 2019 to 2022, I went back to university as a Professor assistant (RTD-a) at the University of Padua (Department of Developmental Psychology and Socialisation) while in February 2022, I moved to the University Ca' Foscari of Venice as a tenured track Professor Assistant (RTD-b) that is my current position. My research interests include applied statistics in Environmental Sciences and Epidemiology
and methodological advancements in the analysis of functional data, spatial statistics, classification techniques, and methods for medical research.
I wrote more than 70 research articles and I am currently involved in research projects regarding new statistical methods for clustering spatial time series, time dependent model in survival analysis and causal inference in observational studies.
