Paolo Giardullo, Ph.D. in Sociology of Cultural Phenomena and Normative Processes (2016 - University of Urbino, Carlo Bo), is Assistant Professor (RTD-A) in Sociology, at the University of Padova, Department of Philosophy, Sociology, Education and Applied Psychology (FISPPA - Section of Sociology) where he teaches Environmental Sociology for the "Bachelor's Degree Course in Sociological Sciences" (Head, 9 ECTS) and Social Research Methodology and Techniques (3 ECTS) at the same university. In 2020, he was awarded the National Scientific Qualification to hold the position of Associate Professor, in the subject area 14/C1 SOCIOLOGY (validity: from 08/07/2020 to 08/07/2029). In 2023, he was awarded the National Scientific Qualification to hold the position of Associate Professor, in the subject area 14/D1 SOCIOLOGY OF LABOUR, ECONOMIC PROCESSES, ENVIRONMENT AND TERRITORY (validity: from 01/02/2023 to 01/02/2033).
He has been visiting scholar at the Geography Division of the Katholieke Universiteit in Leuven (2014) and at the Department of Sociology of the University of Cambridge (2021).
He contributed to research projects funded by national (PRIN) and international (FP7 and Horizon 2020) competitive calls on the topics of Responsible Research and Innovation, air quality policies and refused forms of knowledge. In parallel to these experiences, he has deepened the epistemological and methodological aspects of digital sociology in different application contexts such as cultural consumption and public representations about environmental issues.
In 2022 he has been elected as Secretary of STS Italia.
