Degree (“laurea”) in “Lettere moderne” (Arts and Humanities), historical curriculum in 1983. Two years course of Archival Sciences and Latin Palaeography at Venice State Archive (1980). Qualification for teaching Italian and History in Secondary School (1991). PhD course in European Social History, University of Venice Ca’ Foscari (1989-1992). Researcher then Assistant Professor in Medieval History (former Faculty of Education Sciences) at the University of Padova. from 1994, and member of the DiSSGeA (Dipartinmmento di Scienze storiche, geografiche dell'Antcihità = Dept. of History, Geography and Classics). Lecturer in Medieval History (2001), then aggregated Professor (from 2009).
Research topics: 1) Social history and Institutional setting of Medieval Universities, with special reference to the University of Padua and the Mobility of students (13th to 15th centuries; 2) Historical Sources (records, chronicles, inscriptions); 3) Church history and religion in the late Middle Ages (Franciscan and Monastic Studies).
