Lea Ferrari, Phd. She is an associate professor at the Department of Philosophy, Sociology, Pedagogy and Applied Psychology, University of Padova. She teaches Diversity management in the workplace, Psychology of disability and early career education, Career counseling and vocational guidance in multicultural contexts. Together with Scott Solberg (Boston university) she coordinates the Social emotional learning international research network SEL-IRN, recognized by WERA, that aims to foster Sel skills in educators to make their children ready for the world of work. She is actually involved in the European projects: Se was involved in the EU projects CONNECT! (https://connect-erasmus.eu/) aimed to link career counseling with HR practices; psSMILE (http://smile.emundus.lt/) aimed to promote social emotional competencies in primary schools; Increa+ (https://increaplus.eu/) aimed to promote inclusion through artmaking; CMINAR (Counselling for Refugee and Migrant Integration into the Labour Market – Development of Courses for Higher Education and Public Employment Services) for improve career counseling competencies in professionals who work with migrants and refugees; University Network for Innovation in Guidance NICE (2009-2012/2013-2015) that aimed to develop a network of professionals and share common definitions and training guidelines.
She is a member of the board of the University Network for Innovation in Guidance Foundation and president-elect of the IAAP Counseling Division 16. She serves as editor of the Turkish Journal of Education TURJE for the counseling and guidance section, and editorial board member of the British Journal of Guidance and Counseling, and the Australian Journal of Career Development.
