Michele Drigo was borne 29.03.1976 in Padua, Italy.\nJuly 2001: Degree in Veterinary Medicine at Padua University with the thesis “Aujeszky Disease: evaluation of the ongoing National Control Programme”.\nJanuary 2002 – December 2004: PhD in " Public Health, Veterinary and Animal Production Hygiene”, University of Padua, Department of Public Health, Comparative Pathology and Veterinary Hygiene. Final dissertation on: “Geographic Information Systems and spatial analysis in veterinary epidemiology: study of the High Pathogenic Avian Influenza epidemic in Veneto e Lombardy Region (1999-2000)”.\nMarch 2005 - February 2006: scholarship for researching activity on: “Analysis of the risk factors for the introduction of the Avian Influenza virus in the poultry flocks in Veneto Region” at Department of Public Health, Comparative Pathology and Veterinary Hygiene, University of Padua.\nMarch 2006 – December 2017: Researcher position in Infectious Diseases of Domestic Animals at Padua University.\nJanuary 2018 to date: Assistance professor position in Infectious Diseases of Domestic Animals at Padua University.\n\nTeaching activity:\nLecturer of “Veterinary Epidemiology”, “Epidemiology and control of food borne zoonoses”, “Risk analysis methodology” and “Swine viruses” for the Degree in Veterinary Medicine at Padua University.\n\nResearching topics:\na) Epidemiology, immunology and virology of PRRS virus and Circoviruses (PCV2 and PCV3) in pig farms; \nb) Epidemiological studies applied to infectious animal diseases, zoonoses and veterinary clinical pathology.\nHe co-authored about 80 papers in International peer-reviewed journals.\n

Thesis proposals

Tesis with experimental activity are available both with laboratory and field actions, either in the companion and large animals side.
Also tests on a bibliographic base are available with the purpose of systematic review on infectious disease of high epidemiological impact.
