Research Area

The lecturer adopts a sociocultural and historical-critical psychosocial research perspective. In addition, he employs a qualitative methodological framework.

Specifically, he deals with the following lines of research (which may intertwine with each other becoming a broader research area):

- Studies on contemporary international migration and migration in Europe: the policies that regulate regimes of international mobility, with particular attention to the social representations they convey and the psychosocial context they create; the experiences of territorial communities of border or transit, with particular attention to the semiotic field they inhabit; transfrontieralist experiences and practices of border contestation;

- Studies on end-of-life, traumatic grief, and delegitimized grief: experiences and models of intervention in the management of life's terminal moments; personal and social experiences of delegitimization of traumatic grief experiences and experiences of re-humanization;

- Studies on psychosocial and collective memory;

- Studies on the history of European and North American psychology from critical, epistemological, and post-modern/post-liberal perspectives;
