RESEARCH ACTIVITY
My research interests are structured around five main thematic areas:
Child and youth protection, with a specific focus on decision-making in child welfare and on the participation of minors in decision-making processes. My primary interest lies in situations of risk and harm to children.
Mental health and addictions, with research focused on adolescents in therapeutic-rehabilitative facilities, on motherhood in conditions of addiction, and on the use of Experts by Experience (EpE) in care pathways and social work training.
Migration and access to rights, especially regarding educational and university inclusion paths of students with a migrant background, and the relationship between professionals and migrant users within local social services.
Gender, families, and parenting, including studies on vulnerable motherhood, medically assisted procreation, adoption, foster care, and the issue of caregiving. The research often integrates ethical, legal, and socio-health perspectives.
Prevention and citizenship education in schools, using action-research approaches in early childhood and primary education settings, with the aim of deconstructing gender stereotypes and promoting respectful relationships from an early age.
