She graduated in 2011 in Veterinary Medicine at the University of Padua with a thesis entitled "Investigation of farm problems in Saharawi refugee camps (Algeria): study of post-mortem findings on dead sheep and goats in the Wilayas", and in 2017 he obtained a PhD in Veterinary Sciences at the same University, with a thesis entitled "The immune system of cetaceans and their interaction with Dolphin morbillivirus". From 2017 she began her career as a post-doc, contract collaborator and now (2022) researcher (rtdB) at the Department of Comparative Biomedicine and Food Science in the scientific-disciplinary sector VET/03.
Her research activities are mainly directed to the pathologies of marine mammals and in general of wild and unconventional fauna, both in the wild and in a controlled environment, focusing on pathologies from interaction with humans. In particular, her work focuses on forensic diagnostic techniques to confirm the interaction with human activities and the relationships existing between exposure to pollutants and induced physiological lesions or alterations and new technologies, such use the use of unmanned aerial vehicles (drones) and cell cultures (both 2D and 3D). She is the author of 30 international peer reviewed publications, technical reports and book chapters. Since 2011 she has been part of the Cetaceans strandings Emergency Response Team. Since 2018 she has been part of the Training Program for the European College of Veterinary Pathology as a resident.
Her teaching experience is mainly focused on the pathology and diseases of wild animals in the Animal Care and Veterinary Medicine degrees.
