Master degree in Agricultural Science and Technology in 2015 at the University of Florence. PhD in "Land, Environment, Resources and Health" at the University of Padova in 2021. During his PhD, he carried out learning and research activities at the School of Agriculture, Policy and Development - University of Reading (UK).

Council member, since 2017, of the professional order of Agricultural and Forestry Doctors of Prato province.

From 2016 to 2017 he had a research grant at the DISEI Department, University of Florence, working on two projects concerning local wheat supply chains in Italy and in Europe. From 2020 to 2022 he had a research grant at the TESAF Department, University of Padova, working on a project concerning local sheep supply chains in the Veneto mountains. From 2022 he is employed as a Resercher in the Agricultural Economy sector at the TESAF Department, University of Padova.

His main research interests are the study of local supply chains, rural development, the evaluation of agricultural policies, the use and the role of quality policies in agriculture.

He is a member of the European Association of Agricultural Economics (EAAE), of the Italian Association of Agricultural and Applied Economics (AIEAA), and of the Italian Society of Agricultural Economics (SIDEA).
