Chiara BIASIN is Full Professor at Department of Philosophy, Sociology, Pedagogy and Applied Psychology (FISPPA) at the University of Padua.
She received the Diplôme Européen d'Etudes Approfondies (DEEA) in Théorie des Formes en Sciences de l'Éducation from the University of Strasbourg; she holds a Ph.D. in Pedagogy and Educational Sciences from the University of Padua.
She has been Honorary Senior Research Associate at the University College of London, Institute of Education (IOE). She taught at the Master Européen de Recherche en Sciences de l'Education (MERSE) at the Rouen University. She was also visiting professor at the Universities of Paris Est-Créteil, Nancy-Lorraine, Lille, Sherbrooke, Montréal, Aarhus, Algarve/Faro.
She is Chair of the Degree Course in Educational Sciences at the University of Padua.
Her research interests focus on adult education, lifelong and continuing education, vocational education and training, adult learning theories, transitions in life course and transitions to adulthood, vulnerable adults, counseling and tutoring adults, school drop-out, mobility competences, non formal and informal learning.
