Statistical mechanics of non-equilibrium states: Markov chains, stochastic models with discrete states in continuous time, diffusion processes, Langevin dynamics, generalized fluctuation theorems, laws for entropy production, Jarzynski relation and Crooks theorem, fluctuation-dissipation theorem for non-equilibrium states, Einstein relation between mobility and diffusivity, two-dimensional turbulence, statistics of current cumulants in nanosystems, models of self-organized criticality, time-series analysis.
Polymers: theory for the universal properties of the different phases of polymers in solution, conformational transitions, simulations via models both on lattice and off lattice, influence of the topology (knots and links) on the statistics.
Biopolymers: models of DNA and RNA denaturation, dynamical scaling of unwinding of two polymers; protein folding, fibril elongation, energy landscape sampling.
Numerical methods: Monte Carlo and molecular dynamics, multiple Markov chain sampling, data reweighting techniques, inherent states sampling via activation-relaxation technique.
