Thesis proposals
Areas of particular interest include issues related to migrations (inward and outward) and Islam in Europe, particularly with regard to the definition of identities, mutual interrelationships, communication aspects and cultural conflicts.
Issues related to gender, the queer and transgender, viewed from the same perspective, are equally welcome.
More generally, it deals with cultural aspects undergoing profound change as a result of globalization, mobility, migration, identity transformations, etc., particularly as a consequence of growing cultural and religious pluralism and issues related to gender orientation and affirmation.
Priority is also given to topics related to death and dying, end of life, longer life expectancy, attitudes towards death, and social and cultural practices related to this theme.
The students can propose their own interest topics.
