The course change is a procedure that allows students enrolled in a degree program at the University of Padua to transfer to another bachelor's degree, single-cycle master's degree, or master's degree program within the University.

In order to change your degree programme within the University of Padua and continue with studies, please follow the procedure below:

  • If you wish to ask for the recognition of credits from your previous studies (please check Recognition of previous studies). You will then receive an answer from the Academic Committee stating the exams that can be recognised, the year of study to which you are eligible for admission and whether an entry test is required.

Please consider that for limited access degree programmes, admission to a year subsequent to the first is subject to available places. You may be required to sit an entry test.

  • If you do not wish to ask for the recognition of credits OR if you are considered eligible for admission to the first year, you will be required to apply for the degree programme you are interested in as a first year student (please check How to apply)

English-taught Bachelor’s degree programmes
Please note that applications for limited access English-taught Bachelor’s degree programmes close on March 7; it is highly recommended to apply as a first year student within the deadline set in the relevant Call for admissions and ask for the recognition of previous studies at a later date. Candidates eligible to change degree programme will be required to pay a €16 fee and to submit the Changing degree programme application form provided by the Admissions and Welcome unit in due time.
