Recognition procedure

The online procedure is available from June 16, 2026 to 14 July 2026.

In order to access the procedure, you need to first register on the Uniweb portal.

If you applied to a degree programme with an unlimited number of places, you can also submit your online request after the enrolment has been finalised. This procedure will be available from October 13, 2026 to 13 November 2026.

A non-refundable €40 fee is due for every request.

During the procedure, you will be asked to upload the following documents:

• Passport or ID card;
• Italian Residence permit (for non-EU applicants residing in Italy);
• Secondary school diploma;
• Certificate issued by relevant academic authorities attesting the examinations passed with name, date and credits, in English or Italian;
• Syllabus of the examinations passed for which recognition is requested. The following languages are accepted: English, Italian, Spanish, French, German;
• (if already obtained) Bachelor’s degree.

How to enrol to subsequent years after receiving recognition

You will then receive an answer from the Academic Committee stating the exams that can be recognised, the year of study to which you are eligible for admission and whether you are required to take the entry test.

If you are admitted to the first year of a limited access programme by credit recognition, you must have passed the relevant entry test and be included as admitted in the ranking.

In order to enrol and have the recognised exams registered in your career, it is mandatory to legalise the following documents:

• Secondary school diploma;
• Certificate attesting the examinations passed used for credit recognition.

Please note that, after the completion of the recognition procedure, you will be required to provide the legalised documentation at an in-person appointment.

The answer from the Academic Committee (delibera) will contain the instructions on how to proceed with the enrolment. If you are admitted to a year subsequent the first, you will have to complete the enrolment procedure on Uniweb by following the instruction contained in the answer from the Academic Committee (delibera).

If the number of places available is less than the number of eligible candidates, you might be required to sit an entry test. Information will be available in the relevant call for admission: https://www.unipd.it/avvisi-ammissione-corsi

If you hold a non-Italian entry title, the Admission and Welcome Unit will contact you with a dedicated call for application. You will have to upload all the required documents on apply.unipd.it.

If you are a non-EU citizen residing outside of Italy, you will also have to submit a pre-enrolment request on Universitaly. Pre-enrolment is required to apply for a study visa at the Italian diplomatic representation in the country of residence.

If you have been admitted to a Master’s degree programme and you wish to apply for the recognition of any credits obtained in Italy or abroad, please fill out the Google form that you can find below from June 16, 2026 to September 30, 2026 (at 6 p.m.).

You will need to attach the following documents:

• Recognition request form (available below);
• Transcript of records with name of each exam taken, date and credits, in English or Italian;
• Syllabus of the examinations passed for which recognition is requested. The following languages are accepted: English, Italian, Spanish, French, German;
• (if already obtained) Master’s degree.

In order to enrol and have the recognised exams registered in your career, it is mandatory to legalise the following documents:

• Transcript of records used for credit recognition.

Please note that, after the completion of the recognition procedure, you will be required to provide the legalised documentation at an in-person appointment.

For limited access Italian-taught Master’s degree programmes of the School of Psychology candidates will be required to upload the above-mentioned documents in the dedicated tasks of their application on apply.unipd.it from July 15, 2026 (at 12 p.m.) – 1 September 2026 (at 12 p.m.).

Please be informed that exams included in the (3 or 4 year) Bachelor’s degree which granted you the admission to the Master’s degree programme at the University of Padua cannot be recognized.

Form

If you are enrolled in a Bachelor’s degree, Single-cycle degree or Master’s degree programme you can apply for the recognition of any credits obtained in Italy or abroad, via the online procedure available from June 16, 2026 to 14 July 2026.
