Arqus for students
Arqus defines itself as a laboratory for higher education and, as such, will continue to experiment with innovative ideas for university integration and inter-university cooperation.
This is why Arqus continues to design and test a wide variety of innovative actions. The result of this experimentation will allow the development of new and collaborative university policies at transnational and community level.
Arqus offers you a series of resources to get the most out of your university career. These are some of the opportunities you can take advantage of as an Arqus student:
In addition to all the initiatives offered by your university, Arqus also offers you the opportunity to join those of the other 8 partners of the Alliance
Check the news regularly to stay updated on all the initiatives and subscribe to the newsletter.
It is a mobility syllabus designed and shared by all the partners of the Alliance that wants to lay the foundations for a fluid and totally recognized mobility, thus responding to one of the founding commitments of the alliance: "the Alliance takes up the challenge of working towards seamless mobility of all kinds with full recognition for all members of the community".
The Open Arqus Mobility is an extension of the Erasmus+ mobility activities and is therefore based on the same principles and regulations (participation in Erasmus+ mobility calls, preparation of Learning Agreement, Transcript of Records, etc.).
What are the benefits for students?
- more places available: many of the universities of the Alliance have committed to welcoming all students from other Arqus universities who apply. There may be some limitations relating to specific fields of study, for more information contact the mobility office
- Recognition (coming soon): Arqus partners are working towards a complete and automatic recognition of all periods of study in mobility and of all diplomas and certificates awarded by partner institutions, including micro-credentials. For this reason, the Alliance is working to obtain shared and feasible policies of recognition and evaluation. Starting from this experience of cooperation, the Alliance has taken on the challenge of implementing mobility of all kinds as smoothly as possible with full recognition for all members of the community, through the promotion of physical and blended mobility, alongside virtual exchange programs in a wide variety of formats, including, when appropriate, structural mobilities integrated into the curriculum in the form of joint programmesin all cycles.
Arqus develops a wide variety of shared activities for course unit and learning with the primary objective of establishing deep and sustainable cooperation in the long term between all partners.
The course jointly developed by the universities of Granada, Graz, Leipzig and Vilnius aims to develop a shared multidisciplinary understanding of Europe's role in the world through the use of different approaches from the humanities and social sciences.
The course offers specialist education in cybersecurity, cyberintelligence, international relations and cybersecurity law. It is jointly organized by 4 universities: the University of Granada, Minho, Padova and Vilnius.
This multiple master's degree in translation brings together different approaches to translation and translation studies. It leverages collaborations between Arqus universities and other European universities to offer future graduates a broader view of the discipline, ensuring seamless integration with the world of work. The master's degree is jointly held by the University of Granada, the Jean Monnet Saint-Étienne University, Padova and Vilnius and takes advantage of the membership of some of these universities in the European University Master's in Translation (EMT) network.
The Arqus Talent Scholarship is a scholarship syllabus designed for graduates from all over the world who want to start a University Master or PhD at one of the Arqus universities. The syllabus provides for a compulsory mobility at a second partner university during the course of study.
The scholarship consists of a subsidy of €1,400 per month to cover the costs of room and board, medical insurance and other material expenses. In addition , the scholarship covers tuition fees at the enrolment university. Arqus also provides an additional allowance of € 250 per month to support students with fewer possibilities.
In the formulation of the rankings, priority will be given to refugees/asylum seekers, students with fewer opportunities and candidates with a bachelor's/master's degree obtained at a university other than the one where they are applying or where they are enrolled at the time of application.
