Teaching staff mobility under bilateral agreements

The University of Padua, as part of its policy to promote internationalization, offers teaching staff the opportunity to undertake a period of mobility abroad, for teaching and research, at a European or non-European university with which a bilateral agreement is active. 

Who can participate: teaching staff of the University currently in service and not on sabbatical, including researchers.

Duration of the mobility: minimum three or four consecutive days – maximum 30 days (excluding travel), varying according to the destination institution. In all cases, the call limits the maximum period to 14 days including travel.

Contribution: it is provided as a business travel allowance by the Department to which the assigned lecturer belongs; the amount for each destination institution varies according to the distance from the destination institution and the length of stay (see the “contribution calculation” column in the “flow list” table).

Health care and insurance: For health insurance coverage during the stay abroad in countries outside the European Union, TEAM coverage is not sufficient. It is therefore always necessary to take out private insurance.

How to participate: the applications must be submitted exclusively by completing the online form.
The procedure is accessible via login (username and SingleSignOn password - the same as for email). All mandatory fields must be completed and the required files must be attached.

Please note: the system does not allow partial saving of the data entered. The data are saved only when the online application, completed in all its parts, is submitted.
It is therefore recommended to proceed with the application only when all the required information and necessary attachments are available, as indicated in the sample application below.

The following must be attached to the application, in Pdf format:

• the invitation letter/email from the host international lecturer, countersigned for acknowledgement by the director of your Department;
• the self-certification relating to the teaching assignment for the academic year provided for in this call, in the case of contract teaching.

Deadline for submitting the application: March 31, 2026, at 1 PM.

Mobility period: from July 1, 2026 to June 30, 2027.
