The Hackathon #EUvsVirus, that is being organized by the European Commission, will take place this weekend (24th to 26th April), although the days before there will be different live-streaming sessions.
Arqus, the European Consortium in which the University of Padova is involved, has become one of the partners of this event as we understand the importance of contributing to find novel solutions against the adverse circumstances caused by covid19. We think this is a great opportunity for Arqus students to work in teams as “Arqus” and give their support through their participation in an initiative that aims to connect innovators, partners and buyers across Europe to develop innovative solutions for coronavirus-related challenges.
There are different challenges (called “domains” by the EC) divided in several categories each, in which participants may contribute with their ideas/proposals.
The winning solutions will be invited to join a European Innovation Council Platform that will facilitate connections with end users (e.g. hospitals) and provide access to investors, foundations and other funding opportunities from across the European Commission.

Unipd students may participate as problem solvers and may register as individuals or as a team (including teaching staff). If you register as individuals, you will be able to find a team afterwards. You may find all the information about the process in the Participant information kit.
There is no deadline (the deadline is the beginning of the Hackathon). You may register specifying Arqus as your university or University of Padua.
