The rector Daniela Mapelli welcomes students who, after graduation, have chosen the University of Padova for their university studies.

The event, opened by the greetings of the rector and the councilor of the Municipality of Padova Margherita Cera, tells the experiences of study, research and life of some protagonists of our academic community through their testimony.

The meeting will be led by Gioia Lovison and Pietro Osti, who will talk to the guests:

Francesco Fasano
researcher and lecturer of Hispanic American literature at the University of Padova, in the department of Linguistic and Literary Studies. Francesco is graduate in Medicine and Surgery, in Anthropology and has a PhD in Linguistic, Philological and Literary Sciences; the main strands of his research are the study of the cultural representation of illness and decolonial, posthuman and ecocritical studies applied to the fantastic literature of the contemporary extreme coming from the Global South.

international student in the third year of the Italian Medieval and Renaissance Studies course.

Afterwards , the syllabus is the dance show by the artist Giacomo De Luca, entitled ((MO!)), a solo performance accompanied by music and video projections by the artist.

Participation in Unincontro is by invitation only, reserved for Unipd freshmen (as per confidential email communication).

After the meeting and the show, freshmen and women are also invited to participate, starting at about 7.30 pm, in The Academy Night 2025, an evening with a DJ set by Ant One dedicated to all Unipd students, always in the Beato Pellegrino Complex.
A free aperitif is reserved for freshmen who participate.

The initiatives to welcome freshmen continue in each first-cycle/Bachelor's degree course throughout the month of October, according to the calendar of "Università Porte Aperte".
