Transfers to another university

To transfer to another university, you must:

1) inquire at the university of destination about the procedures for enrolment in the chosen degree course. In particular, it is necessary to inquire about:

• deadlines for submitting the incoming transfer application;
• admission requirements, any entrance test or other selection methods;
• Deadlines by which the leave sheet must be received by the other university

2) check on Uniweb if:

• the exams taken are correctly registered and if there are any university fees in arrears that must be paid;
• for fees paid but not yet registered and for those just paid, it is necessary to send a photocopy of the receipts to the Student Services Office by e-mail to benefici.studenti@unipd.it indicating your matriculation number.

To make the transfer it is necessary to be up to date with all tax payments until A.Y. 2025/2026.

3) submit the application in Uniweb, following all the steps indicated in the manual.
Please note: the application is considered completed only with the payment of the stamp duty and the forwarding of the confirmation email to the Student Careers Office (more information in the manual).

Only applications for transfers to Italian universities are admissible.

Attention: those interested in the benefits for the right to study and the allocation of reduced contribution bands, are required to consult the relevant announcement published by the Regional Agency for the Right to University Education valid for the destination university. In particular, before making the transfer, it is necessary to consider that the career, for the purposes of granting benefits and the allocation of reduced contribution bands, is assessed starting from the year of first enrolment at the university, regardless of the awards obtained or the year of course in which you will be placed. This could cause, as a result of the transfer, loss of benefits.

Deadlines for submitting the transfer application for the academic year 2026/27:

From 16 July 2026 to 30 September 2026 without obligation to enrolment in the a.y. 2026/27 and up to date with the payments of the a.y. 2025/26
From 1 October 2026 to 31 December 2026 by paying the first instalment of tuition fees for the A.Y. 2025/26 and by paying the first installment of university tuition fees for the 2026/27 academic year.
From 1 January 2027 to 30 June 2027 by paying all tuition fees for the A.Y. 2026/27

It is always possible to send an application for withdrawal from studies to make a new enrolment in the new university

Once the application has been submitted, an e-mail communication of the transfer will be sent; then it is necessary to contact the university of destination to complete the enrolment.

Attention: If in the campuses of destination the continuation of studies is governed by a ranking or by the issuance of a nulla osta, the transfer request must be submitted after the outcome of the ranking and / or the issuance of the nulla osta.

If, once enrolled at the new university, you decide to return to the University of Padova, you can do so only in the following academic year, subject to a request for prior evaluation and credit recognition and within the deadlines set for transfers from another university.
