Teaching4Learning @ Unipd represents a real plan for the development of teaching and e-learning skills of the teachers of the University of Padova and is a concrete example of a transformative model in the university environment.

Among the first in Italy, the T4L is the result of a continuous research path carried out in the field of teaching in higher education and in international research groups, aimed at promoting the development of a teaching culture inspired by active learning and based on the centrality of learner centred), as well as the construction of a community of teachers in continuous learning who voluntarily become passionate about innovative teaching and become part of a faculty learning community.

This syllabus responds to the recommendations of the European Commission (2011; 2013) which encourages university lecturer to experiment with new student-centred course unit and learning strategies, promoting the de-privatisation of course unit and the development of communities of teachers capable of reflecting on their own teaching practices and on specific key issues.

  • Encourage the development of a deep awareness of the assumptions and values related to course unit and learning;
  • offer the opportunity to learn new teaching strategies and methodologies to involve students, encouraging active and conscious participation in teaching activities;
  • create a Community , a place of exchange in which to share considerations and teaching experiences among colleagues (towards a slow de-privatization of one's teaching);
  • offer the opportunity forPeer Observation: to observe each other among peers during classroom teaching and to provide and receive constructive feedback;
  • learn educational coaching practices to support colleagues in their teachings to develop effective practices to promote learning.

The T4L  Report describes the evolution of the birth of the Teaching4Learning Project and the training path developed over time, showing how much the experimentation started in 2016 has become permeating the teaching culture of Unipd in just 5 years.

It also makes it possible to become aware of what has been achieved, to assess the impacts of the important investments made and to breathe new life into future developments.
