Basic Course and New Faculty (T4L1)
The T4L Basic and New Faculty (T4L1) course is divided into specific meetings for a total of 24 hours:
- 4 hours in the afternoon in presence at the CLA (Via Venezia, 16, Padova)
- 4 hours in the afternoon: synchronous online on Zoom (eng version) or in person (ita version)
- 8 + 4 hours on campus
- 4 hours of asynchronous self-training in Moodle to be completed over two weeks
They are delivered in English or Italian and are scheduled for the entire current academic year.
It is recommended to enrol in the course in English if your level of language proficiency is advanced.
Course unit contents:
- analysis and reflection on one's own course unit and learning perspectives
- theoretical perspective of Active Learning
- Active Learning teaching strategies to promote student engagement
- lecturer-student relationship
- micro-design of lessons using participatory methods
- feedback (between teachers; between students) and assessment of learning
- Design of a micro-lesson (microteaching)
- Integration of technologies in teaching
- video-lesson via different video and audio formats
- management of the Moodle space for synchronous and asynchronous communication, as well as for evaluation and self-evaluation
Who is it for?
Full and associate professors, permanent researchers, RTDA, RTDB, RTT at the University of Padova.
The New Faculty and Basic course is mandatory for RTDA, RTDB and RTT researchers hired from 1 September 2022 and must be completed within 18 months from the date of hiring.
Follow-up
6 months after the conclusion of the T4L1 course, there will be an afternoon of discussion (follow-up) to share the experience and the implementation of what has been learned during the T4L course.
Open Badge
At the end of the course, the T4L1 Open Badge is issued.
