Benefits for working students

For students with a gross annual income of at least 3,500.00 euros received in 2025 or 2026 under a permanent or fixed-term employment contract or from other self-employed work activities, and with an Isee of up to 50,000 euros, a reduction of 400 euros in the all-inclusive fee is предусмотрена?

Students who, due to work or family commitments, for health reasons, or because of their studies, believe they can devote only part of their time to studying may choose part-time enrolment.

This option is binding for two academic years, during which no more than 72 educational credits may be earned. Part-time enrolment requires payment of the regional fee for the right to education, stamp duty, and 60% of the contribution amount paid by students enrolled full-time in the same programme.

Applications may be submitted by students enrolled in specific bachelor's degree programmes, master's degree programmes, and single-cycle degree programmes listed at the bottom of the page, who meet one of the following conditions:

• being simultaneously engaged in employed, self-employed, or professional work, whether public or private, full-time or part-time, for a period of not less than six months and ongoing at the time of the application;
• being student caregivers or being regularly involved in the care and assistance of relatives who are not self-sufficient due to age (children under 3 years of age) or health problems (parents, parents-in-law, cohabiting children, sisters, brothers, spouse);
• having illnesses that, without affecting learning ability, physically prevent or make a full-time commitment inadvisable;
• being simultaneously enrolled in higher institutes of musical and dance studies or in Degree Programmes at university level.
• being engaged in high-level competitive sports activities at national or international level.

The duration of part-time studies may be, at most, double the duration normally предусмотрed for the Degree Programme.

The option for the part-time study regime is valid solely for the purposes of university fees (it does not affect attendance requirements, which are governed by the teaching regulations of the individual Degree Programmes) and is incompatible with all other forms of partial fee exemption (except for statutory and merit-based exemptions), as well as with participation in the competition for student collaborations (200 hours).

The application must be submitted by 30 October 2026, on Uniweb, under the "Iniziative" section.

The memorandum of understanding signed by the University of Padua and the Ministry of Public Administration guarantees facilitated access to some degree programmes for employees of public administrations. The benefits consist of a reduction in tuition fees.

Staff in service at the University of Padua, including those with a contract activated during the academic year, are entitled to a partial exemption requiring payment of 40% of the all-inclusive fee calculated on the basis of their financial situation (in addition to stamp duty and the regional tax).
