Academic Senate
The Academic Senate formulates mandatory proposals and opinions on teaching, research and services to the student community; it deliberates on the general regulations of the University, the teaching regulations of the University and the other regulations on teaching and research. It also expresses a mandatory opinion to the Board of Directors on the main documents that allocate financial resources to the structures (budget, final account, three-year planning plan, establishment and modification of courses, locations, departments, University schools) and on the position of general manager.
The Academic Senate is composed of the Rector or rector, nine department directors (three directors for each of the three scientific macro-areas) and nine professors (three professors for each of the three scientific macro-areas), three representatives of the technical and administrative staff and five student representatives.
