Health Centre in East Padua

The project for the new hospital complex of Padua East San Lazzaro will be carried out in an area of 40 hectares in the eastern quadrant of the city of Padua, and will be added to the Polo Gustiniani, in the city center.
It will be developed on a total built area of 220 thousand square meters, with 963 beds, of which 90 are intensive care, it will be equipped with a highly specialized hub and an interregional hub.
There will be 2500 parking spaces, 1550 at the multi-storey car park.
The new masterplan has benefited from an important improvement thanks to the signing of the implementation agreement to make the Padua East area safe from hydraulic risk with targeted interventions on the embankments of the Piovego and San Gregorio canals.
The new hospital complex will consist of 4 buildings: Day Center, High Intensity Care Plate, Inpatient Tower and Research Tower.
It will be a sustainable building in terms of the choice of materials and technologies, and with high energy performance. As many as 45 operating rooms, equipped with high technology. But it does not stop at the care activity: the project also includes the construction of a Research Tower inserted in the hospital complex, where university activity will be integrated with research, teaching and technology transfer.
The new hospital will therefore be built at the same time as the great master plan for the renovation of the "old" civil hospital, which will remain completely renovated in the center of Padua. The Polo Giustiniani, with 719 beds, will continue to have an Emergency Room, and will be able to count on the new Children's Hospital.
The total amount of the economic framework for the construction of the work is € 870,819,000.
