MSCA DN Unipd Supervisor: Fabrizio Bezzo

Fabrizio Bezzo is Professor of Chemical Engineering and vice-Director of the Department of Industrial Engineering at the University of Padua. He received his degree in Chemical Engineering at the University of Padua and his PhD at Imperial College London (UK). His research interests comprise process and supply chain modelling and optimisation in the chemical, pharmaceutical, and energy sectors, in particular with concern to the strategic design of biofuel production systems. He has published 200 scientific papers in international research journals and conference proceedings. In 2014 he was the recipient of the Siemens PSE Model-Based Innovation Prize. In 2017-2022 he co-chaired the Energy Section of the European Federation of Chemical Engineering. Currently, Dr. Bezzo is involved in several international projects for industrial decarbonisation, including two MSCA DN projects, and coordinates the Horizon 2020 MSCA ITN Project "DigitAlgaesation", aiming at the digitalisation of microalgae cultivation systems for the sustainable production of chemicals and fuels.
