MSCA DN Unipd Supervisor: Fabrizio Bezzo

Fabrizio Bezzo is Professor of Chemical Engineering and Vice-Director of the Department of Industrial Engineering at the University of Padua. He received his degree in Chemical Engineering at the University of Padua and his PhD from Imperial College London (UK). His research interests comprise process and supply chain modelling and optimisation in the chemical, pharmaceutical and energy sectors, in particular with regard to the strategic design of biofuel production systems. He has published 200 scientific papers in international research journals and conference proceedings. In 2014, he received the Siemens PSE Model-Based Innovation Prize. From 2017 to 2022, he co-chaired the Energy Section of the European Federation of Chemical Engineering. Currently, Dr Bezzo is involved in several international projects for industrial decarbonisation, including two MSCA DN projects, and coordinates the Horizon 2020 MSCA ITN Project "DigitAlgaesation", aimed at the digitisation of microalgae cultivation systems for the sustainable production of chemicals and fuels.
