One Health Basic and Translational Research Actions (INF-ACT)

The INF-ACT research syllabus addresses the pressing needs arising from emerging infectious diseases in humans, both fundamental and translational; human health is taken into account in a very broad context, which includes the world of animals – both domestic and wild – as a potential reservoir of diseases, and environmental factors that increase the possibility of spillover, according to a "One Health" approach. The INF-ACT consortium is composed of 25 research partners from all over Italy, both from the public and private sectors.
