One Health Basic and Translational Research Actions (INF- ACT)

The INF-ACT research programme addresses the pressing needs arising from emerging infectious diseases in humans, both with regard to fundamental and translational aspects; human health is considered in a very broad context, which includes the animal world – both domestic and wild - as a potential reservoir of diseases, and environmental factors that increase the possibility of spillover, according to a "One Health" approach. The INF-ACT consortium is made up of 25 research partners from all over Italy, from both the public and private sectors.
