What are General Course
General Course represent interdisciplinary educational and learning opportunities addressed to the entire academic community, enabling the acquisition of transferable skills, identified by the European Union as the key competences to “better prepare people for changes in labour markets and for active citizenship in global societies that are more diverse, mobile and digital, and to consequently develop lifelong learning”, as well as the possibility of broadening one’s knowledge in areas other than those of one’s own Degree Programme.
General Course are open to students of all bachelor’s and master’s degree programmes at the University of Padua and are offered as elective examinations at the end of which a final assessment is required.
In addition, for some of these, the University reserves some free places for employees; technical and administrative staff may have attendance recognised as training activity, subject to passing the examination (online information).
As a single course, the general course may be attended by anyone who wishes to do so.
