Erasmus+ Staff Mobility for Teaching and/or Training - Beyond Europe (KA 171)
The Erasmus+ KA171 Programme provides lecturers in Padova with mobility grants for teaching and/or training periods abroad at higher education institutions in non-European countries (partners) participating in the project.
Who can participate: lecturer staff, including contract staff, of the University of Padova (in specific cases cel and non-lecturer staff) provided that an inter-institutional agreement has previously been signed for the reference year between the two institutions.
Researchers hired with NRRP/PON funds can participate only if they do not have other European funds allocated to international mobility to avoid any double funding
Duration of mobility: the Erasmus+ Guide provides for a minimum of 5 consecutive days of activities and a maximum of 60 days (excluding travel). The call, however, limits the period to a maximum of 14 days including travel. During the period, there is a minimum number of 8 hours of course units for periods of up to 7 days of duration excluding travel (or for shorter stay). The minimum number of hours of lessons becomes 4 for periods up to 7 days of duration excluding travel (or for shorter stays) in the case of Teaching Staff combined with training activities; There is no minimum limit of hours for the traning activity.
Contribution: calculated on the basis of the tables of the Programme. Variable according to the distance between the University of Padova and the host campus and the duration of the stay. If the expenditure actually incurred is higher than the allocated contribution, the participant may co-finance the difference.
Health care and insurance: For health insurance coverage during your stay abroad in countries outside the European Union, EHIC coverage is not sufficient. It is therefore always necessary to take out private insurance. For more information on the insurance coverage abroad guaranteed by the University, please consult the "Accidents and insurance" web page.
How to participate: Applicationsmust be submitted online only . The procedure is accessible via login (username and password SingleSignOn - the same as e-mail). All required fields must be filled in and the required files must be attached.
Selection: the applications received will be selected by a special commission appointed by the Rector, based on the selection criteria set out in the call for applications.
Deadline for the submission of the application: each calendar year a single call is published with two calls (usually March and October) to access contributions attributable to the three institutional contracts in force at that time.
Mobility deadline: 31 October of the calendar year following that of publication of the call (e.g. for the call published in March 2026, the mobility deadline is set for 31/10/2027).
The contributions awarded under the 2026 call, from 01/06/2026 to 31/10/2027, derive from the flows financed through the 2023 financial contract (only in the first call expiring 31/07/2026) the 2024 financial contract, the 2025 financial contract and the 2026 financial contract (only for the second call, active from 01/08/2026)
