The four Universities of Veneto (Padua, Verona, Ca’ Foscari, and Iuav) established the Univeneto Foundation in 2011, an inter-university institution aimed at promoting shared activities and services. The four Universities, connected by geographical proximity as well as historical and cultural ties, have created a new entity to expand educational and research opportunities for a broad pool of potential users.

Among the first results of the collaboration agreement is the organization of joint educational initiatives, such as inter-university PhD programs.
