Giuseppe Radaelli

Born in Como on 13 February 1965. Graduated in Biological Sciences in 1988 at the University of Milan with a score of 110/110 cum laude, he obtained a PhD in Cellular and Molecular Biology in 1993, at the same University. In 1993 he became a university researcher, in 1999 a full professor and since 2006 a full professor at the University of Padova, where he teaches in the single-cycle degree course in Veterinary Medicine (Veterinary Histology and Embryology; Veterinary Microscopic Anatomy). He belongs to the Department of Comparative Biomedicine and Nutrition.
Author of more than 100 scientific articles in indexed international journals (Google Scholar: 3882 citations; H-index 37) mainly concerning: i) the study of the development, differentiation and welfare of fish and invertebrates in relation to different environmental conditions; ii) the evaluation of stress parameters in animals of veterinary interest. Coordinator of national and international research projects (Projects: University Project, Veneto Region, Prin, NATO, PRIMA) Member of the Society of Experimental Biology, UK (SEB), of the Italian Society of Veterinary Sciences (SISVet), of the Italian Association of Veterinary Morphologists (AMV) of which he was president from 2019 to 2023.
At the University of Padova, he held the following positions: president of the School of Agriculture and Veterinary Medicine (2015-2018); member of the University Teaching Committee (2015-2018); member of the University Presidium for the quality and accreditation of teaching (2019-2020); advisor to the monitoring of the quality of newly established degree courses (from 2022); member of Almalaurea's strategic scientific committee (from 2024).
