Born in San Donà di Piave on 22 June 1966.

Graduated cum laude in Padova in Civil Engineering in 1992, she obtained a PhD in Structural Mechanics in 1999 at the University of Bologna. In 2005 she became a University Researcher and since 2011 she has been Full Professor at the University of Padova, where she teaches Construction Science. In 2018 he obtained the qualification for the role of I fascia. 

She is president of the First-cycle/Bachelor's degree in Building and Land Management Techniques and Management since 2019; elected member of the Area Scientific Committee since 2016; coordinator of the Department's VQR Commission; member of the Departmental Commission for Projects and Grants (CDPA) and of the Department's Three-Year Research Development Plan (PTSR) Commission. She has also been a member of the Academic Council of FuseNet - The European Fusion Education Network since 2018.

She is a scientific reviewer for numerous international journals, she has published more than 120 scientific articles in international journals, books and conference proceedings.

She has obtained research funding in the framework of PRIN MIUR projects (both as a member and as head of unit), ENEA-EURATOM, EU Seventh Framework Programme, EU Sixth Framework Programme, Horizon 2020.

Since 2000 she has been involved in the thermoelectromechanical modeling of superconducting magnets for fusion reactors, collaborating with numerous national and international research institutions, such as EFDA, EURATOM, RFX Consortium, Fusion for Energy F4E, ENEA, EUROfusion. In this context, she is currently responsible (Lead Engineering) for the modeling of the structures and the magnetic system of the future DEMOnstration power plant (DEMO) reactor.
