DARE involves a broad community of partners and stakeholders, including universities, research centres, research hospitals, local health authorities, foundations and private companies. The initiative aims to create and develop a connected and distributed knowledge community that fosters the establishment of models and solutions for surveillance, prevention, health promotion and health security, in the general population and in special populations, such as workers, minors, pregnant women and chronic patients, which can make the best possible use of the opportunities offered by digital technologies, helping to bridge social and territorial disparities in the provision of integrated health and social care services.
