On the occasion of the International Day Against Homophobia, Biphobia and Transphobia, a webinar was organized for the presentation of the prize for research work on the issues of gender identity and sexual orientation for the fight against discrimination - 2023 Edition to the winner Guido Giovanardi, clinical psychologist and researcher of dynamic psychology at the Department of Dynamic Psychology, of the Faculty of Medicine and Psychology of the Sapienza University of Roma, for her contribution entitled "Paola on the Couch: The Quest for Feminine Identity in an Empirically Supported Psychoanalytic Psychotherapy of a Trans Woman".

It was discussed by lecturer Tindara Addabbo, president of the National Conference of Equality Bodies of Italian Universities, Annalisa Oboe, lecturer and director of the Elena Cornaro Center, Vincenzo Bochicchio, vice-president of the National Conference of Equality Bodies of Italian Universities and Silvana Badaloni, member of the Board of Directors of the Elena Cornaro Center.

Abstract

11 March 2022: Conference "Endocrinology for Women's  Day X edition. From the common problem to the rare disease: the complex diagnosis" 
The conference, organized by the Endocrinology Unit of the Department of Medicine - Dimed, is dedicated to the complex  diagnosis of rare endocrine diseases in the context of diseases that are very common among the female population. It takes place in dual mode (in person and online), on Friday 11 March 2022 starting at 2.15 pm, at the Aula Magna of the S. Antonio Dottore Theological Institute in via San Massimo".

9 March 2022, at 4 pm: Webinar "Gender equality and work: where are we?"
The initiative, organized by the HUB Labor Law Studies network, aims to promote discussion and cultural exchange between young labor law scholars from different Italian universities (in particular doctoral students and research fellows) with a view to sharing and enriching their respective research paths.

Women and Academy: the career of women in the University

The webinar, which is held on the occasion of International Women's Day, is organized as part of the Unipd initiatives for a widespread March 8, and with the patronage of the Department of Private Law and Critique of Law, and the AIDLaSS – Italian Association of Labor Law and Social Security.

On men's violence against women: the first GREVIO report on the application of the Istanbul Convention in Italy
An online seminar on the Council of Europe Convention on preventing and combating violence against women and domestic violence and its contribution to combating these phenomena and protecting victims in the light of the First Report on the state of implementation in Italy adopted by the Group of Experts (GREVIO).

A webinar on homophobic bullying at school
The Single Guarantee Committee of the University of Padua has announced an award for a research work on the issues of gender identity and sexual orientation with application value for the fight against discrimination. In fact, the call required that the study also offer indications on how to react effectively to this form of abuse by proposing lines of practical action.

The prize was awarded, from a shortlist of 26 candidates, to Davide Zotti, for his contribution entitled Individual and contextual factors associated with school staff responses to homophobic bullying.
