Academic Year 2026-2027

The procedures described on this page allow for the recognition of certified academic and professional activities, and of exams already taken (including abroad) as single courses or in previous university careers, so that they do not have to be taken again in the Degree Programme currently being attended or to be attended at the University of Padua.

It is possible to submit an application for credit recognition for more than one Degree Programme. Each application must be completed by indicating the exams and activities for which recognition is requested (certified professional activities can be recognized up to a maximum of 48 university credits (ECTS credits) for bachelor's degree/single-cycle master's degree programmes and 24 university credits (ECTS credits) for master's degree programmes); the procedures and any required fees are specified in the sections below.

Attention: the credit recognition application does not replace the application for enrolment, programme change or transfer, and does not guarantee admission to the Degree Programme. To find out how to access the programmes, including for those requesting credit recognition, it is necessary to refer to the admission notices or calls.

Places available for admission to years after the first for limited-enrolment programmes are published starting from the week of 8 June 2026, for each programme, on the page of the relevant admission call. For open-admission programmes, there are no limits on the number of applicants eligible for admission to years after the first.

Those who hold a foreign entry qualification must refer to the procedures set out on this page.

Bachelor’s degree programmes and single-cycle master’s degree programmes

The credit recognition application is available to students enrolled and not enrolled in Degree Programmes at the University of Padua or other universities, both for open-access Degree Programmes and for restricted-access Degree Programmes. For clarification on the recognition of studies completed abroad (e.g. required documentation and translations), please consult the specific document at the bottom of this section.

The procedure is available from 15:00 on 18 June until 13:00 on 14 July 2026

Please note: the procedure will be off-line from 16:00 to 21:00 on Monday 13 July due to extraordinary maintenance of the payment system.

The application must be submitted online on the page www.uniweb.unipd.it/valutazioneonline. Access to the portal is through the same credentials used for Uniweb: anyone who does not have them can follow the registration procedure.

The application must be submitted by following the instructions available within the portal, uploading the required documents, entering the exams/activities for which recognition is requested (including exams not yet taken/recorded that are expected to be taken by the end of September 2026), and paying a fee of €40 for each application submitted. No refunds are provided for this amount, even if no activity or exam is recognised.
Please note that, based on the Student Careers Regulations, it is not possible to withdraw recognised credits 10 days after the publication of the recognition decision.
Please also note that for restricted-access Degree Programmes, once the decision has been issued, it is not possible to withdraw the validated credits that contributed to reaching the eligibility thresholds for admission to years following the 1st.

From 17 July, the appointed Committee checks the activities entered in the application and prepares a decision containing the list of validated exams/activities (fully or partially), the proposed year of admission, and an indication of whether it is necessary to take the admission test in order to access the Degree Programme.
The decisions can be viewed within the portal; when yours is available, you will receive an email notification.

Please note: the credit recognition application does not replace the request for enrolment, course change or incoming transfer and does not guarantee admission to the Degree Programme. The admission notices or calls for applications indicate the terms, procedures and deadlines for access to Degree Programmes for those requesting credit recognition.
For Degree Programmes in Medicina e chirurgia, Odontoiatria e protesi dentaria, Medicine and Surgery and Medicina veterinaria, a dedicated call for applications is also issued for admission to years following the first, and this is also available on the relevant admission call page.

Those requesting additional validations for the Degree Programme in which they are already enrolled do not need to follow any further procedures once they have received the decision.

Recognised activities and exams are entered into the student record by the first available exam session for the academic year 2026/27, without the need to submit any further applications.

The office responsible for credit recognition is the Degree Programme back office. It can be contacted for:

  • assistance in submitting the credit recognition application;
  • rejection of the decision received or of some validated exams/activities, to be submitted within 10 days of receiving the email notifying you that the decision can be viewed;
  • information on the timeframes for entering recognised exams in the record book.

  • clarification regarding the assessment method for exams/activities;
  • clarification on the decision received.

The procedure is also valid for those using a foreign qualification for admission to the programme. For clarification on the recognition of studies completed abroad (e.g. required documentation and translations), please consult the specific document at the bottom of the section.

It is necessary to upload the required documents, enter the exams/activities for which recognition is requested, and pay the fee of €40.00 (for each application submitted). The resolutions can be viewed within the portal; when yours is available, you will receive notification by email. Please note that, under the Student Career Regulations, it is not possible to withdraw recognition requests after 10 days have passed from the publication of the resolution.
