iNEST Innovation Ecosystem Consortium – Interconnected North-East Innovation Ecosystem
The iNEST Innovation Ecosystem Consortium for the creation of the research syllabus as an "Innovation Ecosystem" as part of the National Recovery and Resilience Plan, Pnrr, is aimed at extending the benefits of digital technologies to the main areas of specialization in the North-East (Friuli-Venezia Giulia, Veneto and the two Autonomous Provinces of Trento and Bolzano): the industrial-manufacturing sectors, agriculture, sea, mountains, construction, tourism, culture, health and food.
The interconnection of local ecosystems at the macro-region level will make it possible to work on a common "digital vision" for the benefit of the economy and citizens, with local smart specialisation strategies to be combined in a shared mission for the North-East. The Consortium will implement the research syllabus through a structure consisting of a hub and spokes. It consists of 11 founding members, 9 universities and three institutions and sees the University of Padova as the proposing founding body.
